UMNO DISPENSED JUSTICE IS LIMITED TO PACIFYING ANGRY DAYAKS & DELAYING DAYAK ASPIRATIONS
HOW TO EXPUNGE THE PARASITES OF COLONIAL RULE & CORRUPTION?
Justice is seen to be done here. The judge looked good and Baru Bian & Co looked good. This reinforces the idea that you can get justice in “Malaysia”. At best we have a patchy type of justice.
The great injustice to many thousands of dispossessed NCR Dayaks and other tribes remains unresolved as long as Taib Mahmud & regime remains in power with UMNO backing. If UMNO did not backed their cronies and proxies in Sarawak they cannot remain in power. The greatest injustice to all of us is the British Malayan denial and theft of our right to Sarawak national independence which we can only regain by freeing ourselves from the new Malayan colonial rulers.
To change things we need to rely on our united will power and determination and not on politicians who owe allegiance to foreign political parties and government. If readers did not know this are the Malayan parties and UMNO government. Reliance on these foreign forces is only selling out what is left of our national rights and sovereignty.
Dr. John Anthony has suggested the idea of a pressure group he calls a “Dayak Movement”. http://dayakbaru.com/weblog08/
There is a great need for Dayak unity as political force to advance the interests of our country Sarawak’s most deprived citizens. Their position has worsened since 1963. A former Sabah human rights lawyer Simon Sipaun made a succinct statement a short while ago that “life was better before 1963″. This was before our lives was Malayanized with corruption religious proselytization and racist apartheid politics imposed by UMNO. The Sabahans are very much more conscious of having lost their national identity with the illegal migrant issues.
If a Dayak Movement is to be formed it should not just be a pressure group and this will not lead to any meaningful change as long as the corrupt UMNO PBB BN system remains in place.
We should not forget even if Pakatan gets into power Taib PBB BN will still control Sarawak for another 4 or more years. The instruments of colonial government and law enforcement will still be riddled with UMNO parasites of corruption lodged in the system for some 50 years.
Dayaks need to unite with themselves and with all other tribes including the Malays and Chinese before we can succeed in freeing ourselves from foreign domination and not just to patch up the neo-colonial Malaysia political system.
We must constantly remind ourselves that we were a united independent state from 1842 to 1942 and even recognized as such by the USA since 1850 and Britain from 1863 to 1946 before it colonized Sarawak by betrayal of the last Brooke ruler. We were not just a patchwork of territories like the British colonized Malaya.
The struggle for independence has changed from armed struggle to peaceful struggle but we should not be lulled into the thinking that we no longer desire real independence.
A Dayak movement must therefore channel the aspirations of Dayaks for freedom from Malayan colonialism not to be used by the Malayan political forces to reinforce Malayan colonialism.
Independence remains a central part of the agenda for all Sarawak patriots.
Yes justice was done but one single swallow does not make a spring. Our spring of freedom from foreign rule is yet far away.
