SCALES OF INJUSTICE TILTED IN UMNO’s FAVOUR
MALAYA COMPARED TO SABAH & SARAWAK- END OF YEAR RE-APPRAISAL -ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE
NEW YEAR RESOLUTION- SABAH & SARAWAK UNITE TO GET OUT OF MALAYSIA!
All the issues raised in this article have plagued Sabah and Sarawak more severely than Malaya as the figures show that these 2 colonies are the most poverty stricken territories under UMNO rule for 48 years.
1. Water:
Sabah/Sarawak are lands with abundant sources of water. Water that flow freely are now dammed and owned by privatized interests. Natives get polluted water. They can even build a dam in Sabah that has not water to fill it. They flood the Bakun and caused havoc to all along our beloved Rajang River and Mahathir’s and puppet Taib’s family companies benefited by several billions from this project. They want to build 12 more dams.
2. Rice:
Both countries have small populations and comparatively plenty of land compared to Malaya. They can be self sufficient in rice and yet have to rely on imported rice. Are they planning to turn Sarawak into a commercialized rice bowl of Malaya?
3. Timber:
We all know the story. UMNO got our oil and as a pay off to the local UMNO proxy rulers, they get a free hand to clear out the native owners and than their ancient forests.
4. Petroleum. What petroleum? $20 BILLION every year disappears from our oilfields? This is the greatest colonial rip off in our history!
We might as well have never heard of it since this is all controlled by UMNO and we get as pittance from what is our limited national resource. This resource would have built up Sabah and Sarawak into modern independent states outside Malaysia after 48 years. You could say at the time we had IDIOTS for leaders! This includes Abdul Rahman Yaakub and nephew.
And they used our oil funds to build the “Twin Towers”, nice highways in Malaya- while the Pan Borneo Highway is going nowhere with excuses after 48 years. The Burma road was built across the most mountainous terrain in Asia and it took just one year and that was from 1937 to 1938 under WW2 conditions! It is still serviceable.
Brunei controls it oil and Singapore has hardly any resources and both are doing well. If we were independent we would never have to rely on the benevolence of UMNO whom our “leaders” have to approach with begging bowls for “development funds”!
5. EPF FELDA etc?
What was that report on how on Sarawak MP made $1 million from his shares in some oil palm project? The farmers become slave workers of these plantations and hardly make a living.
6. Infrastructures?
What infrastructures? The new DUN? and more shopping centres? Most infrastructures are located in Malaya built with Sabah/Sarawak money. See item 4 above!
7. Talent?
Because of UMNO’s Malay supremacist apartheid system non-Malays who actively discriminated against have to scrap their money together to get an overseas education. And then they are not able to get government jobs when they come back. The discrimination in Sabah and Sarawak has become an issue as much as in Malaya. Yet there is no world attention on this system which is the successor to Nazi Germany and South Afrika.
8. GFI Report…. confirms the robbery of Malaya and Sabah/Sarawak colonies by shifting money around.
Conclusion: The corruption and plunder and Malayanisation (not Borneonization) and control of our local governments for 48 years must convince the most unawared Sabah and Sarawak person that this is colonization under a new master.
What sort of independence is this? Freedom to reap the fruits of being our own master or just re-colonized?
Tunku Abdul Rahman tried hard to allay such fears that we might be re-colonized before we found ourselves in a shot gun union in 1963. Sabah CM Donald Stephens and Temmenggong Jugah all had doubts. And the Tunku’s words proved to be true lies.
The general popular mood is to get rid of UMNO.
Yes throw out the vile fascist regime. Make is our new year resolution!
But after throwing out UMNO the people of Sabah and Sarawak must approach a more democratic Malayan government to decolonize the 2 colonies for independence!
