I have observed carefully in the past-regarding the unethical and undemocratic ways or strategies carried out by The Election Commission in manipulating the votes:
1)How come popular votes of 50.27% went to BN while 47.73% of the electors voted the Opposition, yet BN captured 140 seats versus PKR’s 82 seats.I refer to the last Federal election. Mathematically, BN should win only 112 seats and PKR should win 110.Instead BN got 140 seats versus PKR’s 82 seats. Doesn’t that mean discrepancy somewhere?Big time?
2) Vote rigging is the “old rule of the thumb” employed by EC because they can alter your votes without you ever finding out.
3) The presence of ‘phantom’ voters. How come, I never heard of this phrase or word
in my 5-yr and 24-yr stay in New Zealand and Canada respectively?
4) Granting citizen ships to aliens in return for BN votes and forcing these people to swear by ALLAH that they would vote for BN? Again, religion must not be mingled with politics. Yet BN uses religion to politicize their cause at the expense of other religions.
5) EC is under PM-again,totally unheard of in the West. Hence EC is still answerable to Najib who is both corrupt and above the law. If he can get away with murder-what other crimes is he not capable of?
6) Gerrymandering-the process of altering or marking electorates to reflect favouritism towards BN. This is the worst possible scenario due to the fact that a typical layman may not apprehend the motive behind it.
7) Using cash to buy votes-this is again illegal especially in Sabah and Sarawak.
8) With the abolishment of Borang Observers, EC can easily manipulated the outcome without being caught red handed.
Unless EC operates independently with any political influence and the presence of a non-biased observers, the outcome of any elections are QUESTIONABLE. Najib contradicts himself by saying that he doesn’t want to win by unfair voting system. Then why the hell, he has to make quick changes to EC on April 19, 2012 to benfit his party? Luckily, BERSIH is on the side of the voters who believe in clean and transparent elections.
