There are many factors why teachers had lost the “passion” to teach and one of the many reasons was that they were made to believe that they were civil servants and not educators. The other factor was the overcrowding teacher’s office in schools and the overbearing interference from education ministry staffs who were trained to dictate our education system the way UMNO had wanted it to be.
