“If Sarawak opposition politicians have any grain of patriotism and love for their country they would not join any foreign political parties from Malaya but form a strong Sarawak party ” Sorry but I have to disagree with you, ANTIUMNO although I am anti-UMNO and anti-BN too. Parties like PAS and DAP have proven themselves to be consistent. Only thing with PAS is their Islamic agenda is too much for most multi-racial Malaysians. Thus that leaves DAP which has been consistent for so long in their fight for justice. Only thing about DAP is that it is now too ‘chinese. We must be realistic that we Sabah and Sarawak cannot secede from Malaysia; thus we have to work to assert and get our fair share. DAP may be a party from Semanjung but let us make sure that DAP in Sabah and Sarawak are helmed by Sabahans and Sarawakians. I quote this comment from a Roslinawati in one of the articles in Hormbill Unleashed : “UMNO, Najib, Taib and Musa will be history if DAP moves into rural Sarawak and Sabah with Bumiputra candidates of impeccable record and it is not too late yet for qualified Bumiputra with strong political conviction and commitment for good governance and good government to stand under the DAP platform. DAP should seriously look into recruiting more educated women from various Bumiputra communities to join the party. Launching the Bumiputra women wing in DAP will be the right move before GE13.” Thus the way to go is to make DAP truly multi-racial by getting upstanding natives not in it for themselves and one outstanding chap would be saudara Baru Bian.
